A new cushion

These days its a rarity that both Argy and Bargy should nap at the same time during the day. So when this huge treat occurred this afternoon, I worked like a woman possessed. After hastily vacuuming, washing and tidying, I sat down to sew this new cushion.

Whirrrr, whirrrrr went the sewing machine and overlocker, as I floored the pedals. Not a moment to lose. Just as I was offering myself a little self-congratulatory pat-on-the-back, I noticed something. I wonder if I am the only person to sew up all sides of a cushion cover, inside out, with the zipper closed?!

The front of the cushion is Pippijoe's beautiful cotton-hemp Daisies fabric and the back a soft red wool and cashmere blend.

I am quite pleased with how it looks, but am now a little disgruntled with the couch on which it resides. Time for some re-upholstering. Won't Mr Hoppo Bumpo be just delighted!

  2. Thanks for the kind words about the cushion, hollabee. Mr Hoppo Bumpo is a pretty handy with a staple gun. I shall send him straight over.

  3. I just wanted to ease your mind. You are definately NOT the only person to have sewed a cushion up to realise that the zip is closed.

Thanks though, I will tell my sister and business partner Nicole that I'm not the only person who does it either! She gives me heaps over it.
