I love a good thunderstorm and this one didn't disappoint. The clouds were swirling like something brewing in a witch's cauldron.

Within 5 minutes of taking this photo we were plunged into semi-darkness as the front raced in and the power went out.

  2. Oh I LOVE a good thunderstorm and we missed out here at Inverloch. We had a total of 3mm of rain. Nothing better than watching a storm and you'd have the perfect vantage point from that study window.

  3. i love blackouts! i miss that about living in Australia, it never seems to happen here.. whenever i say to people here how it is cool when the lights go out in a storm they think i am weird. But it is a scary kind of "can't do anything else so i'll watch the storm and make popcorn" kind of cool!

  5. When I was little I loved it when the power went out and we could light candles. Not quite as much fun as a adult, like when the power went out on a sweltering night when Cohen was three weeks old and I thought he was going to melt, not storm in sight then either. But I love storms, and hail, even though I know it damages property etc. How good is a good hail storm? :)

  8. Wow, those clouds do look ominous don't they. We get some doozies up here on the moutain too, always interesting if you are trying to get home whilst out-running the storm.
