I am joining in with Thursday's My Creative Space at Kootoyoo.
Clockwise from bottom:
- Party invitation idea
- Gocco screen
- Paper trimmer (bearing same mysterious red dot stickers as our cat)
- Paper folding gadgets - scoring blade for trimmer and brand spanking new, ridiculously single-purposed Martha Stewart paper folder/ smoother thingy (shhhh, nobody let Mr Hoppo Bumpo know)
- Water colour paper
- Water colour pencils in shades of red and fine brush
This week craft goes mostly functional and a little tiny bit experimental.
Bargy's 3rd birthday party is soon - very soon - and I have yet to send invitations. So today's fantasy involves creating something beautiful using dreamy red watercolours and a black Gocco print. I have no idea if layering a Gocco print over water colour will work.
Perhaps tomorrow's reality see party details sent by text message?
Thank you very much Kirsty for hosting My Creative Space. Its great fun seeing what everyone is doing. To see who else is showing their creative space (or to join in), head over here.
lol - I think it should work okay, I use ink & watercolour pencils all the time & although sometimes the ink runs, I think it adds more than it detracts.
ReplyDeleteWhere'd you get the *whispers* paper folder, if I may be so bold as to enquire...?!
Oh.. and good luck with your endevours today... do share the results!
Ooooh, I love a party. Have a great day and can't wait to see the result.

ReplyDeleteThe colours sound great - don't forget to show us the result! I am so jealous of your Martha Stewart smoother thingy - I have been covetting one of those - Martha is the queen of craft!
ReplyDeleteI surely think the gocco over water colour will work & I look forward to seeing the results.

ReplyDeleteIt all sounds very yummy to me. I wonder how those red spots got everywhere...? ;) K
ReplyDeleteOh, I look forward to seeing them. I have no idea what your Martha Stewart thingy is- but I still want one. I like all things associated with fiddling with paper.
ReplyDeleteYour bone folder is also good for poking out the corners of seams after you've sewn them and turned them right-side out again. How about that?
ReplyDeleteLots of fun things going on over here.
ReplyDelete...and you can never have too many single purpose paper craft tools, I say. I try and justify it to myself (and others) based on what I'm saving on buying cards!
so its a scoring tool with her name on it? looks a lot like the ones you can get for about a dollar around here. not sure what one costs with her name on it
ReplyDeleteinvites to parties would be a great idea. most kids have cell phones now :)
I have to do the same thing for No.1 who is turning 7. Although, I secretly love doing it!
