Eye spy ... something I shouldn't eat but do
I am playing along with Bug and Pop's lovely "Eye Spy" each Sunday. This week's theme is from the delightful Jennifer Rose of Fuzzy Dragons. She has asked us to spy something we shouldn't eat, but do anyway.
I once heard a dietitian say that you shouldn't eat anything that your great grandmother wouldn't have been able to identify.
These more-ish, glowing cheesey snacks - comprising exotic ingredients with names like E160a, E330 and E170 - probably fall into this category. (I opened the box just to take a photo. Honest.)
Thank you to Cindy for hosting Eye Spy and to Jennifer Rose for the theme. To discover other food stuffs, head over here

"shouldn't eat anything that your great grandmother wouldn't have been able to identify"
ReplyDeletewell I'd starve lol
Oh ... I long have had a penchant for the completely under rated Cheezel ... it is made from corn and cheese so therefore they must be good for you? ... corn and cheese - just like Mexican!
ReplyDeleteWow - I love that advice about the great-grandmother.
ReplyDeleteOoooooh I love Cheezels. If I open a box, I eat it in one sitting.....very very bad!
ReplyDeleteI used to eat bags of bacon crisps as a child. Remember those? They were great, bright pink, didn't taste anything like bacon and had no meat products in them, but yum yum yum!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that all the bad things are so delicious!
ReplyDeleteI love that dietician's advice. I will now virtuously quote it ad nauseum along with an appropriate "tsk tsk" when I see someone chowing down on junk food (before scurrying home to eat mine surrepticiously when the kids aren't looking...)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, how good are Cheezels and Cheese & Bacon balls ? So bad, and yet soooo good.
ReplyDeleteThat quote from the dietician is a ripper - boy would that change the eating habits of the world.
ReplyDeleteSo come on - how long did the contents of the box last??? Just one, maybe one more....
So would my great grandmother have had chocolate then? I'm guessing the answer is YES - yipee!
ReplyDeleteAnd I bet you put them on your fingers too!
ReplyDeleteOh crap Nikki took my exact comment!
