Tutorial: make a gadget wallet
Gadget (n):
1. Small mechanical or electronic device useful for a particular job. Often thought of as a novelty.
2. Small appliance costing an arm and a leg. Easily scratched or dented. Guaranteed to to be the subject of bitter recriminations. Always sold without a protective case.
Remain blameless. Keep the novelty alive. Avoid trashing a gadget.
Make your own protective wallet. A tutorial and pattern for this short project are available here (available both online and as a PDF for download).

Great tutorial Liesl. Very easy to follow and the photos are nice and clear too. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow-very nice tutorial! Great directions and pictures. Fun project, I'll be linking.
ReplyDeleteI only have a teeny tiny shuffle, so no real need for something to protect it in, since it fits in the pocket of my purse. But have decided I need a gadget protector. I'll make up a reason later. :p
ReplyDeletePerfect! This is exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks heaps Liesl!!
ReplyDeleteHello there,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your blog posts. You sound like a distant relative! Your crafts are all very sweet. If I can reach the sewing machine today, I plan to make a few of the zippered wrist wallets for my youngest daughter and grandkids. This may necessitate a trip to the fabric store, YAY!, I mean, sigh (with martyred expression for husband).
Thanks HB. I've been waiting to try something with a plastic covering. I can't believe you are new to sewing.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about making a bag for all my chargers, this might be good
