This is ... what I'm surprised I like
When Victoria from Earl and Cookie announced the theme for the next "This is ...", I thought I'd really have to get my thinking cap on. That is, until I was in the process of packing up Argy and Bargy's toys the other night.
Ah, yes! I surprised myself, when I realised. I am quite partial to the boys' Thomas the Tank Engine train set.
Shhhh .... don't tell anyone ... but I might have been known to sit down with the trains when the boys aren't even round. To make sure the batteries aren't flat and the track is clipped together in good working order .... of course.
Let's see if there are any other secret Thomas the Tank Engine fans out there - can you identify which engine I have pictured?
Thank you to Victoria at Earl and Cookie for the fun theme this week and to Angela at Three Buttons who is hosting "This is ...". Head on over to Angela's blog to see who else is playing along.

Now initially I was going to say James, then I think the face isn't right so now I am thinking Rhenas or Skarloey, I am going with the later. Should I feel sad that I even went through the whole process.
ReplyDeleteI know Caleb's train set for his last birthday was all really Glen's early Xmas present!
For christmas this year ive bought my daughter a pink trainset as my son was never into thomas
ReplyDeletebut I seriously cant wait till christmas, its the prettiest lil trainset! I think I will have loads of fun setting it up!
Oh and I will come and play with you (wink)
ReplyDeleteJames the red engine?
ReplyDeleteOur friends' son insists on calling my husband "James-the-human" to distinguish him from the more common James the red engine. Ah, yes. Could this be the red engine itself?
I hope you make the proper choo choo and toot toot noises while you're pushing the trains along the track.
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor says Skarloey. And now he wants to keep staring at that photo. Dang!
ReplyDeleteAhhh Thomas. I'm always being asked to play.. And I fight it. Maybe I should just go with it.
It's James isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI had a Thomas the Tank Engine doona cover when I was 19 :P I loved Thomas!
ps. it really IRKS me when people call him "Thomas the Tank" !!
I have a soft spot for Transformers and loved the movie
ReplyDeleteI only know Thomas and Percy haha. But Thomas is cute! My nephew loves him...
ReplyDeleteWell its very important work checking that the batteries are OK and the track is in good order!!
ReplyDeleteIs it JaMES?
ReplyDeleteAnd why not!The boys can't have all the fun!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who he is but I had a train set years and years ago...only for Christmas tho. My father had hoped for a boy, but I did enjoy setting the little villages out.
ReplyDeletebtw, I've only seen The Drew Carey show once or twice. I didn't make the Cleveland connection!
yes, I'm a bit partial to train sets too...and every little boy (and his mum) should have one!
ReplyDeleteThat is great :) I know when I was a girl, I always loved playing with cars on a racing track. Love the image of you "checking" it while the boys aren't around.
ReplyDeletehehehe, I'm just in here checking out the comments, seeing who's into Thomas ;)
ReplyDeleteDS says it is Skarloey too. He loves Thomas too and we have all the DVDs plus most of the trains and also a train table :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know their names, because our trains are mainly generic ... but I enjoy 'tidying up' the track too ;)
