Dozer

Bulldozer, that is.

This fabulous construction fabric arrived as an unexpected surprise for Argy and Bargy last week from the very kind CurlyPops. Now there's a girl who surely knows the way to a small boy's heart. Thank you very much, Cam!

After a brainstorm about what we should sew (Argy first very helpfully volunteered "a road"), the boys agreed to something nice for their beds. With only fleeting time available during afternoon naps today, I started with a junior pillowcase.

I do feel however, as so often happens here, Argy might have misinterpreted the purpose of the new linen? (Really, I couldn't get my boys to do stranger things if I paid them.)

  2. Very, very funny. Pretty soon those boys are going to be on the stand-up circuit. Love the fabric and LOVING the pillowcases. I mean, I'm not into diggers that much, but as a mother of a man-child, I certainly see that this is tres tres exciting - and stylish. A great achievement.

  3. Excellent! I think your boys might need to teach me a few things about construction vehicles- I call them all 'tractor', and now so does the Bug.

I walked past a building site recently while the workers were having a smoko, and asked "Excuse me, what's the name of that vehicle?". There was a pause, and then they all chorused "An excavator.". The reception when walking past building sites has really changed for me recently :) I guess now I've got a babe, I'm not a babe myself!

  10. Now, if that isn't going to make them dream even more about dozers and excavators and cranes and cement mixers, etc, I don't know what is!

Great work! I'm a big fan of using great fabric like this for pillow cases.
