Little stitches

Never too young to start.
Sewing with lace-up cards is great fun.
Even when you are only 2.

Lovely reproduction vintage sewing cards available here.

  1. I had Caleb going on the overlocker yesterday. You can never start them too early I say before dad attempts to get them into sport.

  3. Oh gosh I WISH I did this for the boys - I ended up buying a simple log stitch SMALL kit but it was just a little to much for them. This would have been MUCH better. Ummm might try to make one that has an interesting finish to encourage them again.

  7. Hey, that looks like fun! You can cut animal shapes out of card and punch holes around the outside, too - and then stitch them all together, too. (Apparently this kind of sewing teaches littlies around 4-ish to pinch properly so that they can hold a pencil when they start to learn to write). -And I thought it was just lots of fun!
