Racing to the finish

The Girls' Size 3 Pinnie Marathon was scheduled for early in the Olympic program, but due to unforeseen circumstances (possibly along the lines of procrastination) the final wasn't run until Saturday evening.

The event was held concurrently with the Men's Diving and Women's Basketball finals. Spectators (all one of him) were surprised to see that the marathon continued even later into the night than the basketball, which itself concluded at the wee small hour of 1.30am AEST.

The event was hindered at times by adverse conditions: spectacles with only one arm; lost thread; a sewing machine that initially refused to work; and diminishing chocolate at the refreshment station.

However, Black Velvet Pinnie scrapped in across the line, just in time for the 3rd birthday presentation on Sunday.

This looks gorgeous! Pity your boys won't get to wear it - maybe a snail trail or buzzy bees for them?

  14. That is adorable. My daughter wore a lot of black as a child which was unusual then but as she's Thai she looked smashing.

Glad to see you holding onto a dash of feminine in that household of yours!
