An hour after taking these photos at the Royal Melbourne Show, Liesl ...

  1. competed in the Woodchop finals
  2. rode out of the showgrounds on a prize winning Huacaya Alpaca
  3. vomited on spectators standing 30 feet below a ride called The Hangover
  4. realised that she should have packed raincoats and an umbrella

Yep, never saw it coming either.

  1. I'm hoping it's the lack of raincoats and umbrella Melbourne is a bit like that. If it was the spew then I hope the spectators had theirs!

  2. Oh goodness! No wonder you didn't win a prize in the sewing ...

  3. As a motion sickness sufferer I can completely sympathise Liesl.

  7. I'm hoping it's number 2, because well I think a prize winning Alpaca is just the perfect thing for you.
But I'm fearing it's number 3, and also a sufferer of travel sickness, all i can say is I know that awful feeling and been then and done that. ( I get it on trams)

  8. I remember having the exact same experience as an 18 year old on a first date :) I am now the person holding the bags and cheering my DH and kids on as they go on all the rides.

  9. I bet there were others wishing they were wearing raincoats and holding umbrellas...

  10. And that is why I NEVER go on rides. Although potentially it sounds like being ON the ride may have been the safer (less icky) place.

  11. No way! That's hilarious. Not for those below of course.

I get sick on rides so I never go on them now. My sympathies!

  12. I was going to pick no. 1, but I think the real answer is just as awesome!

  13. I think you'd look fabulous in a wife-beater singlet, swinging an axe.

(Could you just blame it on one of the children....?)

  16. I would have been the one standing below wishing she had a raincoat and umbrella (and probably chucking in sympathy...)Poor you! How did the boys react?
