Tip of the day

When attempting pattern drafting for the first time ...

... make sure its for someone who cannot complain about the fit.

This cuddly canine is visiting from kindergarten for the weekend. While he is here I am making him a new shirt. Do you think I should make it in barkcloth?

  1. Oh yes, barkcloth is a definite. He'll be the coolest canine in kindergarten!

  2. Totally cool, one of our preschools in Sydney did that, only it was a wombat. We got it a week after the lucky wombat named Gypsy went on a ferry, ice cream in Manly, walked around the Oprah House, Yum Cha in China town (all documented with photographs) . . . i had serious pressure to put on a decent weekend for Gypsy. Only one of the children tossed him into the air in the driveway on the way home from preschool that Friday, he landed on the roof, my husband was away & i had to get a neighbour to retrieve him on the Sunday . . . & had to make up the entire experience & made him a patchwork sleeping bag while he was 'other wise unavailable'. That preschooler is now in year 6, the traumatic memory does not fade with time. Love Posie

  4. Oh, too cute! Some teddy print, or goldilocks Kokka fabric would be great! And I don't think you'll get a growl out of him!

  5. Oh you kinder mums, always trying to outdo each other! Remember the experience is for the child, and to develop home/kinder links. That being said a fashionable wardrobe adds to the experience!!!!
