The sunset clause

Five hundred and ninety-nine days.

Three hundred and two photographs.

Infinite beautiful colours and effects to admire.

But do all good things come to an end?

Maybe.

Last night Mr Hoppo Bumpo presented his handiwork. He was right chuffed with his new flywire screen.

Er, right over the window where I take my pictures.

This might sound just the teeniest bit evil, but do you think I should ask him to take it down?

  1. oh no... um that is hard one. Maybe you can remove for the photo then replace??? Is it easily done? Ours just slide up and down easily...

  6. OMG! I thought Mr Hoppo Bumpo was going to suggest it was time to sell up and move on. It's probably taken him the 599 days to get round to it....tough one.

  7. Hmmnn, is Mr HB the anti-craft? What was he thinking?

  8. That's a toughie. Did he put it up because if it's open the bugs come in? Do you care if the bugs come in?

The photos are too gorgeous to be lost like this....take it down Mr Hoppo Bumpo, take it down :-(

  9. Leonie, I should probably admit that there had been a rather large huntsman spider in the study a couple of days earlier. Maybe it climbed through the open window?

It was quite big ... it made a tapping noise as it ran across some paper!

  10. Hmmmm, is the love of the view greater than the fear of the spider? Huntsmen don't bite. Ditch the screen. Just take it down and tell Mr that..um..someone stole it...just grabbed it and off they went...

  11. yes, a giant bird flew down, grabbed the screen and then flew away with it :D

  12. Ok - as much as I love your sunset pics (actually I rely on them given I have a blocked view and you can see what I'm missing) I draw the line at huntsmans running across paper. No. Ew.

  16. Your sunset photos are the best, don't stop! What about cutting a lense shaped hole and sewing a little flap on or something...you could secure with velcro so no critters get in? It could be a camera flap.

  17. I LOVE these beautiful shots! Question is, will we see more???

    I do hope so!!! :)

  18. So is it coming down? You can't stop the sunset pics! What's a little huntsman to that?? We have one living in our bathroom..he's our friend! We named him Fred 2, after Fred, who lived in our kitchen in Sydney. I never put him on my blog, for fear of later hearing that some poor woman died of heart failure when my page finished loading and they got a load of him in all his fuzzy glory. :p
