Charming
Teddies and friends (circa 1960) rediscovered this afternoon at mum and dad's place.
The laminate board cover and thick pages of the Constance Wickham book have a familiar smell.
And I still like the look of the jam tarts.

Oh! That wee calf & the l'elephant (that's little elephant for those not in the know... you know, those who, erm, aren't me...)... A D O R A B L E.
ReplyDeleteHurrah for rediscovering old friends!!
oh they are special - what a great rediscovery
ReplyDeleteCharming indeed! What a lovely picnic they were having. Aren't the images so sweet and somehow soothing? I know that smell you mean too, takes me right back xo
ReplyDeleteI like the look of any jam tart. Especially lemon ones made with real lemon butter which should always be licked off before polishing off the pastry. Just like the moo cow does.
ReplyDeletethe artwork in that book is wonderful :D
ReplyDeleteOh Tania....did you really have to mention lemon tarts? Sorry, gotta go...
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. Real trip down memory lane.
