Eye spy ... a collection

I am playing along with Cindy's Eye Spy meme each Sunday. This week the theme is Eye a spy ... a collection.

So may I present my (now vintage) swap card collection.

I wonder if you can pick which decade I collected these in?

Thank you to Cindy for hosting Eye Spy and also for letting me choose the theme this week. To discover more collections, head over here.

  1. I'm guessing they are from the seventies. Are they?

  2. Oh no! Your post made me cry! I have a post coming up (if I get around to it) about things I've lost including my lost swap card collection! I still have one album but the best one is gone (I think I've accidentally thrown it in the bin) Treasure your beautiful collection!

  5. Yes, definitely 70s Karin. And I am laughing Curlypops, because they weren't vintage when I collected them ... they were new ... and have become vintage - along with me!!!!

  6. I have been looking at my own vintage collection recently, 2 albums full. One is dedicated solely to matching pairs of baby boys and girls (sad or what)

  7. The whole swap card thing must have passed me by growing up in the UK - I have never heard of them. This makes me sad because they are beautiful and I know I would have loved to collect them too.

    Great Collection HB

  11. I do believe that you and I are exactly the same (ahem) vintage.... and I had lots of the same cards when I was a kid in the 70's. I let them all slip into oblivion (or into people's current "vintage swapcard" collections?).

  13. I recognise many of those cards from my own collection of the same vintage :)

Mine are long gone now - off to the Oppie in the early 90's I think..

  14. I too used to collect swap cards in the 70s and still have them all, neatly displayed in a series of folders.
Thanks for sharing yours - I think we may have some of the same ones.

  17. These are fabulous Liesl, loving the mushroom one. Reminds me of the swap cards I had as a kiddie, but never kept (darn it!)

You've made me want to join in on this theme, even though it's a week late (oops).
