What does your lipstick say about you?

The other day I was flicking through a magazine in a waiting room, when I chanced upon an article about lipstick.

There amongst all the regular tips about colours and applications, was a side-bar detailing how the shape of your used lipstick spoke volumes about your personality. The fact that one could be profiled by quirk of makeup application, was a revelation to me.

I started scanning through the possibilities: rounded, flat, sharply angled, curved and concave. Hmmm .... which shape should I be whittling all my lipsticks into? You know ... so that people will get the impression that I am a spirited, kind, inquistive, playful and even-tempered anytime that I whip out my lippy.

Then suddenly the receptionist called my name and I had to leave the magazine. And all the vital information. So regretfully, I remain none the wiser.

However, there is one thing I can be certain of. You'd better hope that your lipstick doesn't look like the one illustrated above. I don't need a magazine to tell me that this indicates a somewhat forgetful mother, prone to leaving things in harm's way.

Meet Harm (a.k.a. 2 year-old Bargy), who is modelling Avon's Perfect Wear Lip Colour in Champagne ...

If you're able, please consider donating to the Red Cross' Victorian Bushfire appeal. Thousands of people in my home state are homeless and more than 100 people have died. Details for donating can be found in the side bar on the right.

  1. Hi, I am hoping to start up a craft auction of handmade items with all proceeds going to the Red Cross, or charity of your choice to help with the bush fire appeals. I would love any help you can provide with promotion, donation or bidding. More info here http://bugandpop.blogspot.com/2009/02/can-it-make-difference.html
