My creative space

I'm joining in again with Thursday's My Creative Space at Kootoyoo.

Clockwise from front:

  • Traced pattern pieces from Simplicity 3504 Misses' tunic top

  • Calico for constructing a toile (or "muslin"). This will be a trial-run of the tunic top to see how ... and if it fits. Or if it even suits me. All being well, the proper garment will be made up in a pretty cotton voile.

  • Scissors, long ruler and sticky tape. I will need these to make a number of changes to the pattern pieces. This is my first proper bodice alteration - there is so much to learn! My chest, bust, waist and hip measurements each match a different commercial pattern size. (I'm not sure that I look quite as freakish as this would suggest, but let's just say that I am unlikely to pursue a career as a bikini model).
Thank you to Kirsty for hosting and helping keep me motivated to move upward and onward each week! To see who else is showing their creative space today (or to join in), head over here.

  1. Good luck with the bodice alteration - that is something I would like to master!

  2. Good lick with your alterations - may they not be altercations... I have yet to figure out adjusting patterns - perhaps it's time to take a sewing class?
