Eye spy ... love?

I am playing along with Cindy's Eye Spy meme each Sunday. This week we have been asked to spy a bit of love.

Mine relates to our feline guest.

There have been some fruitless enquiries (no micro-chip; no reports of a lost tabby) and a wait to see if she is just passing through. Some detachment. Not getting too involved. Just in case.

Don't get me wrong; we haven't been callous. There has been food. But just the three meals a day, as she was a bit on the thin side. And offering a little bed seemed the right thing to do. Oh and a soft brush for her coat for hygiene. And a little reflective collar with a tinkly bell - for safety you understand. And really ... just the one very small toy to dispel boredom. But apart from that nothing; nada; zip. You know - we don't want to become too attached.

She, on the other hand, has jumped right in. Can't leave us alone. Hasn't left our door step for ... get this ... three weeks. I think it might be love.

Thank you Cindy for hosting Eye Spy and for the lovely theme this week. To see who else is playing, head over here.

  4. The same thing happened to us 3 years ago.
We had just lost our newest cat family member, she sadly went missing...and then he showed up. Howled on our doorstep for 2 solid weeks, we figured it was a sign, he was here to help heal our broken hearts.
We named him Toby, he is black and white, a really strong muscular cat. He has been a valuable and wonderful part of our family ever since. I am so thankful that he chose us.
It looks like this girl has chosen you, let her into your lives, she will shower you with love and affection for many years to come.

  6. Oh you cracked me up - I had wondered what had happened to the cat. You had not mentioned it for a while - lol. Nooo I cannot see any attachment happening.

Oh it would be so wonderful if one did this to us.

  9. Awww, you should feel honoured! She has adopted you! :-) Some cats are so aloof and anti-social, if you have one that has decided you are its 'chosen people', then I think you are very fortunate. She's gorgeous too, although I am partial to tabby's, so, what are you going to name her?

  10. She is so cute and of course you had to get her a few little things to make her feel safe. After all the poor darling has decided that you are the family she wants/needs/is adopting.
