Australia Day
This was the view from my garden at 9.45pm this evening.
Each year our local council organises fireworks for the national holiday.
We live just a few blocks from where they are held.
They look - and sound! - like they are going off right over our garden.

How wonderful! We have "Fire in the Sky" every year. Not today mind. It's always on a random non-holiday non-special day later in the year when the weather is warming up from winter slumber. Lucky you...seeing them tonight
ReplyDeleteAwww...as my boy would say, what a cool example of the fireworks for his birthday!!! :p
ReplyDeletethat is so cool. i wish we had fireworks near where i live.the closest ones to me are in surfers paradise and it is just too crowded in there to go and watch them
ReplyDeleteHOw cool is that. Did the boys love it or run away in fear!
ReplyDeleteWOW how awsome to be so close!
ReplyDeletewow - awesome ... wow and you didn't even have to hold a good space with a picnic blanket from 8am while developing a heinous case of sunburn ... way cool!
