... throw open the doors and windows then sit on the doorstep collecting hailstones in my lap to crunch on.
ReplyDeleteand so i did.
...help BigCat to find a cramped dark spot under the spare bed so he feels safe, and enjoy watching Little Cat sit out in the yard loving every minute of it.
ReplyDeletesay "shit, I just hung my washing out" And I did just say that because I'm about an hour and a half east of you. Ah well, it can have an extra rinse
ReplyDeleteSit on my arse on the couch with a cuppa, watching the storm out the window...after changing into dry clothes because I was soaked just getting a parking ticket for the car at 4pm.
ReplyDeleteStill rumbling out there now.
Yep C definitely wins but I didn't get the same storm over my side of the city.
ReplyDeleteAll of the above and strip the children and send them out to play in it to cool down as well! They decided to collect some rain in the big plastic crates in our backyard and our 5yo tried to collect some in his drink bottle to drink later. I sat out under shelter casting on and knitting my Nan's socks while laughing at the boys, the best 30 mins of my day!!! we didn't get the hail tough, that was Saturday (check out my blog for a piccie!)
ReplyDeleteTake off my shoes, and go stand in the best spot in the yard to get a prime view of the show. Ain't NOTHING like a summer storm.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget to add "check the bureau of meteorology radars to see when the BEST of the storm is hitting your local area!" It was pretty awesome around here.
ReplyDeleteYou must have sent it down this way. We had some AMAZING thunder and ongoing rummbles for ages. The house shock and windows rattled - was almost scary!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo! I had to run out and get the washing off the line too!
ReplyDeleteIt's official: looks like crafters are storm-lovers, too. I'd throw open the windows, lean out and breathe deep. Don't like getting wet, but LOVE the smell of rain.
ReplyDeleteAnd my laundry could do with a second rinse.
jump on the BOM website to see the radar images, then not do any work for half an hour while I admire the rain and hail..and reassure myself about the thunder!
ReplyDelete(I was at work in Mulgrave when this went through)
Awesome photo!
wow, incredible photo!
ReplyDeleteI would be watching it roll in... I looove storms, especially when accompanied by lots of rain.
Probably be reassuring one of the toddlers that the rain doesn't hurt, by saying it a happy voice "the ducks and frogs love it"
ReplyDeleteThen telling her it won't necessarily be followed by 'hay' stones!
We've had some big storms of late in Melb - they sound noisy on the roof of a covered deck.
great photo HB - I love a good storm too - reminds me of home :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't it lovely? Unfortunately I was at the physio during the most dramatic part of the storm, so my pictures were taken a little later, not quite as dramatically beautiful as yours ....
ReplyDeleteI would try to get some nice video of the storm :) and go out and dance in the rain
